Known to us throughout our process as “the oatmeal monsters” because of the beige-cream color felt matrix underneath and the amount of time devoured to cover the surface of each one, these are our most extensive works to date. Each abstract textile piece is embellished with a combination of appliqué, sequins, seed beads, yarn, and embroidery floss and then stretched over a wood frame. After several years of swapping back and forth while working on other projects, these panels were completed in 2021.
