Mackinac Island Artists-in-Residence

We were thrilled to participate in the 2025 Mackinac State Historic Parks Artists-in-Residence Program and stayed on Mackinac Island, MI from June 17 to June 29. Together, we had the opportunity to draw inspiration from the island's beauty and take the time to work side by side on our pen-pal abstract textile project. Our public presentation took place on June 25th at the Visitor Center, where we shared works-in-progress and discussed our project. A piece we stitched and finished while on the island (Wondermakers No. 312) is now a part of the Mackinac State Historic Parks Permanent Collection.
